To India, With Love

Mumbai Skyline, Taj Mahal print, and Gold India Map Decor available at Etsy.com
Believe it or not, I do wear jeans.  I have a pair of boot cut Levis that I wear all the time now that we're living in the country, and a nice pair of work boots to go with them.  But, my preference for jeans is a comfortable skinny jean in a great color that I can wear with a tunic and flats.  With the ornate beading and rich colors on this Ionia tunic by Maeve, my outfit instantly had a very traditional India fashion vibe to it, and I love it.   This entire outfit is second hand, except for the jewelry which I made myself.  The tunic and jeans are from ThredUp and the flats are from Ebay.  Head to toe this outfit cost about $50.  Given that the tunic alone originally cost $110, I feel pretty fabulously thrifty, and really, being able to share my shopping tips like this is the whole reason I have a blog.
I always hear women say, "I love what you're wearing, but I never find things like that" or, "I could never afford things like that."  And I have to say, "uuuuhhh, yes you can" to both.  I know I spend more time and money on clothes than the average person, but this is my hobby and I love it!  For everyone who doesn't want to make this a big part of their lives, I'm here for you :D  It takes time, it takes effort, and sometimes it takes finding the right hunting grounds for great bargains, but it is possible.
