Hello, Flamingo!

Flamingo Watercolor Set, Flamingo Balloons, Flamingo Ring at Etsy.com
We took a trip to the zoo over spring break.  I also took a girl's weekend trip with some friends to visit Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond's cafe and bakery, but sadly no pics of that.  As I've mentioned in past posts, I travel very light, usually without make-up or fancy clothes.  And for both of these spring break trips, we hit the road at the crack of dawn and I left sans make-up and in my most comfortable walking shoes.  But, my time at the zoo did inspire me a little.  I love flamingo prints and after seeing the most brilliantly orange flamingos ever, I decided it was time to pull out my flamingo sweater for a little tribute to this unique creature.
At this time of year it bounces between frosty mornings and afternoons so warm I'm left wondering why in the world I'm wearing all these layers.  And now, with a job added to the mix, more often than not I find myself shivering through the air conditioned days at work.  My solution is pretty simple: a skirt with sheer tights and a light sweater. This is my second purchase from LindyBopUSA.com because I am absolutely ga-ga over their novelty sweaters.  The ruffled neck and black bow are the little touches on their clothes that I love so much, but the nice part is that the ribbon comes out if you're not a bows-kind-of-girl.  Sometimes I'm all about that lace, and sometimes, the less frill the better...like when I travel.
While I may not have much in the way of outfit photos from the road, I do have plenty of photos from the road and an utter abundance of outfits, so why not team them up for my posts?  Get ready to see a lot of exotic animals and mid west landscapes added in to my upcoming posts :D
