Stylish Surprise...?

ModCloth is running their Stylish Surprise special right now and I finally broke down and decided to give it a try.  If you're not familiar with these what it basically means is that ModCloth is offering the chance to buy a dress for $20 (+ shipping) but you won't know what the dress is until it arrives and it is non-refundable.  

    I've thought of giving it a try so many times, but I really assumed I would get something I hated and be stuck with it, so I never have.  Also, I hate surprises, especially the kind I have to pay for.  But, I've decided to put all that aside and give ModCloth the benefit of the doubt.  I'll keep you posted on how this all turns out since they run this sort of promo several times per year.

    If you like surprises and great deals on dresses, you might try Unique Vintage's Dress-of-the-Month Club.  In a nutshell, you sign up and each month for $50 they'll send you a mystery dress in your size.  The thing I like about this version of the "Stylish Surprise"  is that if you don't like the dress, you can return it and it will show up as a credit for next month's dress, so the overall risk is much lower.  

   Even though Unique Vintage has really cute dresses and this sounds like a pretty great program, I do have to admit, that I haven't signed up for yet.  Mostly because,...well,...I'm also not a fan of commitment.  Hey, we all have our hang ups.  But, I'm working through mine, so I'll keep you posted on the outcome of my first "Stylish Surprise."
